Sea of Japan Continued...
|
This a little fishing village
that we saw along the coast south of Sakata. |
Fishing is a big industry along
the coast of Japan. Of course, a lot of the food eaten in Japan is fish.
Sushi...yum!! |
This sweet little Japanese woman
was suprised to see us. I imagine she doesn't see too many Westerners in
this remote part of Japan. She smiled, said hello, and gladly posed for
me when I asked to take her picture. |
Here are some tools of the trade. |
Boats were in no short supply
here. I am sure there were more boats than cars. |
Here is a sport fisherman. Note
his pole is over three times as long as he is tall! I wonder what he is
fishing for? |
Here's the same fisherman and
a few of his buds. The beer cooler is visible to the left and below of
the middle man. It's stocked with Asahi Dry of course!! |
Here's Audrey peering down at
me from a sea wall while I play on the beach and get splashed by the waves. |
