Sea of Japan Continued...

This a little fishing village that we saw along the coast south of Sakata.

Fishing is a big industry along the coast of Japan. Of course, a lot of the food eaten in Japan is fish. Sushi...yum!!

This sweet little Japanese woman was suprised to see us. I imagine she doesn't see too many Westerners in this remote part of Japan. She smiled, said hello, and gladly posed for me when I asked to take her picture.

Here are some tools of the trade.

Boats were in no short supply here. I am sure there were more boats than cars.

Here is a sport fisherman. Note his pole is over three times as long as he is tall! I wonder what he is fishing for?

Here's the same fisherman and a few of his buds. The beer cooler is visible to the left and below of the middle man. It's stocked with Asahi Dry of course!!

Here's Audrey peering down at me from a sea wall while I play on the beach and get splashed by the waves.
On to the last set of pics!!!
