| This is the Kasuga shrine, within walking distance of the Todaiji Temple. It is a Shinto shrine that has about 3,000 bronze and stone lanterns. The best time to visit the
temple is in mid-August or the beginning of February during the
festivals when all 3,000 lanterns are lit. |
