Guam Trip - The island

One day Audrey and I spent the afternoon driving around exploring other parts of the island.  This is a view from on top of a hill on the southwestern part of the island.  The large thunderstorm at the right was socking Tumon Bay where our hotel was located.  We picked a good day to explore!

Here's a small friend we met one of the rocky shorelines.

This is the beach where the US invasion forces came ashore in July 1944 to liberate Guam from Japan.  The "War in the Pacific" museum was located here and really told the story about the times in Guam during World War II.

This is one of the Japanese guns along the coast line.

Back in town one night, Audrey and I went to a Polynesian dinner show.  They had all kinds of dancing and colorful costumes.  At our dinner table we met a newlywed couple from Korea and a nice family from Fukushima prefecture in Japan which is the next prefecture over from us!

Here we are at the dinner show.  We're not embarrassed, we are baked!
